He’s back, if only for one day…
Okay, I’m throwing in the towel with regards to this whole IF thing.
After weeks and weeks of trying to come up with a compelling story to relate in an interactive way, I’ve decided that I’m going about this in entirely the wrong way. I need to be inspired first and then develop the story into a piece of IF. So… It’s time to shift gears.
They say that a writer must first and foremost be a reader. Following this advice, I’m going to work my way through some of the IF classics and see if I can find my muse.

I fell down on my resolution to post here weekly, but it took me a full month and a half to do so. Well, that one’s out the window. Too bad…
I’ve been thinking about my site, and I’m going to try something a little different. Not that it’s never been done, but it’s never been done by me. I’m going to create a multi-faceted site which touches on my interests and accomplishments and projects and so on, but in a more dedicated way. I’ll have a page or two discussing my film-making, some other pages on Tae Kwon Do, and so on, and then just maintain a list of notes and comments on what’s been updated and so on.
How does that sound?
So, I’m working on a PHP application for a co-worker of mine. Specifically, it’s for his daughter, who runs a 16-vehicle trucking company with two offices and needs a way to coordinate the booking of jobs for the trucks without having to pick up the phone every time.
I’m hoping to have it ready to go by Monday but it occurs to me that, following our discussion on Thursday, I’m adding new features and the like that might not operate the way he wants them to. I don’t feel comfortable getting down and dirty with the styling until the operation of the app is squared away. I’ve put about six hours of work into it so far, so I ought to make a fair bit of money once it’s complete.
