I don’t think I need to introduce this…

I’ve completed forty of forty-seven rows before starting the decreases (this cap, unlike others I’ve seen, starts at the bottom and works toward the crown), and…I’m worried.
I don’t know if I’ve been knitting too tight, or if it will stretch out upon being worn, but right now it looks way too small for my big noggin. I’ll try to remember to post pictures soon.

From 37signals:
All I ask of you is one thing: please don’t be cynical. I hate cynicism — it’s my least favorite quality and it doesn’t lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard, and you’re kind, amazing things will happen.

Donnell is at a quilting class, and I’m alone except for Tully, who lies on the hard floor beside me, and Tempest, who is trying desperately to get my attention. The food in his bowl isn’t quite up to snuff, apparently, though whatever fresh food I put there will grow stale within minutes.
Seconds, perhaps.
It’s quiet in the house except for the hum of the dishwasher (and the plaintive cry of the cat, though I am successfully not allowing it to drive me insane). I love the smell of an operating dishwasher.
I knit a washcloth.
It’s exciting. I did it entirely on circular needles, and followed a pattern, though I haven’t woven in the loose ends. My next step is to make something that requires increases or decreases. I’m thinking a hat might be in order. Perhaps one with ear flaps and a pompom on top.
It’ll be very masculine.
Here’s a picture of a cat in a box.
Have a nice day!
