This is an absolutely spectacular picture! The amazing thing is that you’ve made that park actually look verdant – and made me sad to have missed the reunion. (At least I didn’t miss the chicken livers)

Daniel’s comment reminds me of a couple of incidents in Europe: (a) In Verona, I discovered it was a mixed gender room when a couple of men came in while I was washing my hands; somehow I hadn’t noticed there were urinals on the wall next to the wall where the sinks were. (b) I was in a stall in German doctor’s office, giving a sample for the lab. The door to the reception area opened and suddenly there were men’s voices right outside my stall – they were doing the same thing I was, apparently. I was afraid I’d somehow mistaken Damen for Herren, but it turns out both restrooms were labeled the same way. Funny, but at the nude baths in Bad Homburg, there’s nudity everywhere but in the changing rooms. Or is that TMI?

I suppose if TWO gentlemen …… No, not even then. That’s just way too weird. I wouldn’t feel comfortable or clean if I was washing my hands while there was a dude right mixture to me with his junk out. And I’d consider calling the cops if there happened to be youngens in there too! Just plain wrong. Sadly with all the companies’ bathrooms I’ve seen, that pattern is often repeated. Who needs separators? (as you can see this “pee in a way everyone can see” urinal setup bothers me!)

Well, that's because I took almost two months off from blogging.

Tully had a fine time, though she freaked out couple of times and almost capsized us. Also, while paddling my way through the scum that collects where Barton Creek meets Lady Bird Lake, she became convinced that it was solid ground and tried to de-kayak. I managed to keep her in the craft, however, and everything was fine.

I think we're done kayaking for a couple of months, but once it starts to cool off and we head back down to Austin to try it again I fully expect we'll take Tully with us. We might rent a canoe next time, so she has a little more freedom of movement without risking overturning the boat...

Yep. Everything you said. I totally LOVE my iPad. Worth every penny. Last weekend I used it for a GPS, read, listened, found restaurants and yarn shops, and made lists. Total satisfaction. (And if I could stop playing Angry Birds in what must be optimum screen I am sure I’d love the rest of it)

Well, maybe excited about the kayaking but not about the life vest. Poor puppy is going to be hot but safe from drowning in the middle of the lake.
