Two pictures of a project Donnell and I worked on for Christmas:
While driving home from work just a few days ago, I realized that our sky has been sullied.
Far off to the north, I could see gorgeous cirrus clouds drifting across a deep blue sky, but the southern half of the sky was a tangled web of contrails in various states of decay, all reaching out towards Austin, Houston, and other points south. Is there any place left in the country where one can look up and see an empty blue hemisphere or the classic cloudforms without having to mentally block out the harsh cocaine-lines left by high-altitude airliners?
It’s like atmospheric grafitti. Bleah, I say.
